A Good Hair Day is Just a Quick Trip to Walgreens Away

All opinions are mine alone.

I get asked about my hair routine, more than just about anything else, regularly. I’m often trying out new products to find the best fit for my style. I think having an accessible and easy to replicate hair routine is important to creating a look that you can depend on and find confidence in. Your hair can be your best accessory and when you learn how to do it in a way that enhances the rest of your style, it can truly elevate your look and mood.

There’s a Walgreens walking distance from my house, so I’m often there restocking on household goods, refilling prescriptions, and browsing their hair, skin, and body products. Selfcare is one of my love languages for myself, so when I look good I feel good.

On a recent trip to Walgreens, I discovered the Schwarzkopf® got2b® PHENOMENAL line. Products like these, that are regularly restocked makes my beauty routine (dudes can have beauty routines too, trust me) all the more convenient and accessible while still giving me the good hair days I am after.

I paired the got2b® Phenomenal Thickening Cream with the got2b® Phenomenal Molding Paste leaving me with barbershop-quality styled looks, great smelling hair (this is very important, because some products you find on the market just don’t smell good and nobody wants that), and if you style your hair like I do —a high hold with a full look. Channel your inner male celebrity, it’s what I do.

How to get my big-hair-don’t-care-because-it’s-slightly-disheveled-but-still-put-together look:

1. Shower and shampoo your hair before towel drying.

2. Use a dime-sized dab of the got2b® Phenomenal Thickening Cream while your hair is still damp and run your fingers through your hair making sure to evenly disperse the product. A little goes a long way while still helping achieve a fuller look with natural sheen.

3. Blow dry your hair up and back. You can use your hands to shape your hair or a round brush — the objective of this is to achieve volume and tame it in the direction you desire.

4. Again, a dab will do you with the got2b® Phenomenal Molding Paste but I’d suggest using one close to the size of a nickel. Rub the molding paste between your hands, applying it evenly across your palms and fingers before working it from back to front into your hair. After it is evenly throughout your hair, you can use whatever remains on your hands (or get a small amount more) to work specifically through the front or your hair holding it up and along any cowlicks or fly-aways you may have at the sides/back of your head. This product has a natural shine and a good hold, without leaving your hair crunchy and stiff.

The next steps are up to you — now that your hair isn’t something you need to worry about, go tackle your to-do list, PR at the gym...the world is yours.
